Kate was born and raised in San Francisco, California. She became interested in fashion at a very young age. Her mother tells stories of how it took her hours to choose her outfits for pre-school. When Kate moved to New York in 2002, to attend Barnard College, Columbia University, her interest in fashion escalated because she had the opportunity to shop at many wonderful Manhattan boutiques.

When Kate graduated in May 2006 she took what she thought would be a summer job as a sales associate at a high-end boutique, Olive and Bette’s, on the Upper West Side. There she met Monica. This job became a wonderful year-long experience. She created a great network of customers and loved styling women in tons of different looks. She worked with professional women from New York to California and sent StylePaks to many of them, including celebrities such as Kristen Chenoweth.

She left Olive and Bette’s to study for the LSATs, but she wanted to continue to style women, so she partnered with Monica, a woman whose fashion sense and experience she admires, to create Styleyes NYC. Kate lives in New York on the Upper West Side, and is planning on attending law school while continuing her styling services.

Kate’s amazing eye for finding the hottest trends best suited for each individual client is what draws them back to her every season.
